My name is Robert Martinelli, I am a duly licensed as a registered investment advisor as well as insurance licensed and I use these two licenses in conjunction to work with all of my CPA connections as well as their clients. Before I got involved with Elite Resource Team, I tried to connect with CPAS, I've met with them, but I never really had anything of value to bring to them. I would say: "I'm a great financial advisor. You're a great CPA. Why don't we work together?" And that certainly was never enough, and my message was just like every other financial advisor’s message. So, after awhile I just gave up on working with CPAs. So what Elite Resource Team has brought to me was a system and a process that helped me bring value to the CPA relationship. So I'm no longer going in there asking for a referral.
I'm partnering with the CPA to bring solutions to the CPA's clients also where we're protecting the integrity of the CPA by making sure that he is and always will be the lead advisor in their relationship. My relationship with the CPAS, I now have a compelling message to bring to the CPAS and what I am beginning to see is the economic rewards of the elite process. So, uh, it's helping me establish financial planning fees and it's given me a great deal of confidence in meeting with the CPA and the CPA clients. Uh, it's an amazing metamorphosis on how I personally feel because I truly, now I'm different than all of the other financial advisors out there. Uh, there's a story or a movie called the march of the penguins and when you see that movie, you realize that every penguin looks alike. And that's what financial advisors do.
We all look alike and this separates me. This makes me look different in front of the CPAS eyes as well as their client size. This is my fourth event. So I really enjoyed them because I learned something each time. So what Elite Resource Team encourages us to do is bring our ideas, what works, what hasn't worked, and share them in the group. So that's been very beneficial in helping me develop as an advisor. When we have to decide, or any advisor who's interested in this program has to decide if they want to look like a penguin or not, right? So how do we separate ourselves? Do I say that my asset allocation model is better than your current financial advisors asset allocation model? That's not enough. We need to have a compelling argument that separates us from the masses and allows us to establish our own identity by bringing a system and a process that truly impacts our clients financial well-being, and that's what elite brings to us. It's an amazing program and I encourage any advisor who's sitting on the fence to come to these meetings and explore the option, get involved. It'll change your life.
