In 2014, Anton Anderson and Ken Smith joined forces to start Elite Resource Team. Their vision was based on 40+ years of industry experience as individual producers, business owners, and success coaches.

A team of like-minded professionals who came together to build a better model to produce better results.


Anton Anderson, Managing Partner

Anton Anderson began his career in 2003 with Smith Barney while studying business in college and graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in the top 3% of his class. In 2008 he co-founded SPL Financial, which grew into a thriving practice, before selling in 2014 to start Elite Resource Team. Recognized as one of the top training companies for Financial Advisors and Accountants, Elite Resource Team has thousands of clients across North America. Anton has developed a diverse career as an investor, advisor, and CPA consultant. Anton is a published author, and has lived in the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He currently resides in San Diego, CA with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he is a competitive surfer, avid public speaker, and is involved in numerous charitable organizations.

Kenneth Smith, Managing Partner

Ken began his career in 1993 working with Lincoln National. He graduated from Tampa College with a degree in Management and Marketing. After starting his own financial advisory firm in 1994, his focus shifted to financial planning with a tax mitigation emphasis. In 2003, he developed an expertise in tax efficient retirement planning, which allowed him to maintain his position in the top 1% of all financial professionals. In total, he qualified in the top 1% for 18 straight years of his career. In 2010 he accepted that there was a dramatic change going on in the financial planning arena and began working with CPAs. He currently resides in San Diego, CA with his wife Fariba. Outside of work, he enjoys church and working out. He is also an accomplished public speaker and has given talks to tens of thousands of professionals over the years.

Giselle Anderson, Executive Assistant

Giselle began her career in 2008 working in various administrative roles in law firms after graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University. She most recently was employed in the legal department of a spinal device company and has developed a strong career as an Executive Assistant. At ERT she assists in coordinating numerous aspects of internal operations. Giselle was born and raised in a small coastal town in Maine and has resided in San Diego since 2004. Outside of work, she is an avid runner, enjoys yoga, traveling, photography, and her three puppies.

Ashley Tonelli, Case Manager

Ashley began her career in 2006 working at MetLife. In 2007, she decided to make the cross-country move from Connecticut to sunny San Diego to further her insurance career where she then spent 9 years at LPL Financial mainly focusing on Underwriting and Sales as an Advanced Case Consultant. Ashley joined ERT in 2016 and is currently our in-house Life Insurance Specialist. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, wine tasting, spending time with her German Shepherd, Maverick, and cheering on her beloved New England Patriots.

Christi Schatzberg, Case Manager

Christi started her career in Financial Services in 2009 after graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Economics. She has been in the industry for the past 8 years, working for brokers dealers such as Mass Mutual and LPL Financial before joining us here at Elite Resource Team. Her most recent role with LPL was as an Annuity Consultant where she became the product expert on all available products including VAs, FIAs, fixed annuities, SPIAs, and DIAs. She brings a wealth of knowledge on the annuity industry as a whole. Additionally, Christi holds her Series 7, 66, and 24 securities licenses as well as the California Life & Health license. Christi was born and raised in San Diego and enjoys spending her free time traveling, running, and hiking.


Nadia Saidi Connolly, Director of Operations

Nadia began her career in 2000 working in numerous administrative roles throughout various industries and services in Northern New Jersey, where she was born and raised. She holds a degree in Business Administration and was previously employed as an Office Manager and Paralegal in a Family Law Office in NJ. In 2019, Nadia left the East Coast to move to San Diego, where she now resides with her husband, Billy. Nadia assists in coordinating all aspects of internal operations at ERT, which she joined in the Summer of 2019. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, biking, playing volleyball and floor hockey, attending concerts, and traveling.


Michael Apollonsky, Marketing Manager

Michael Apollonsky started his career in 2004 by offering internet marketing solutions to financial companies, product infomercial retailers, and online lead generation services. He graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Marketing and gained a wealth of experience in traditional advertising. After re-evaluating the market, Michael shifted his focus to online marketing and native advertising. His strengths include lead generation, promotional campaigns, and overall online presence. Michael moved to the US from Ukraine in 1998 and currently resides in San Diego, CA. He enjoys playing volleyball, tennis and golf and spending time with his wife and daughter.

James Sanford, ERT Sales Manager

James began his career in 1995 as a financial advisor with The Teacher Consulting Group in San Diego after graduating with a degree in Business Management from the University of Southern Colorado. In 2000, he founded his own boutique real estate and investment company called JD Consolidated Real Estate LLC.  The primary focus of his business was to help his clients gain financial independence by repositioning their portfolios with proven real estate strategies. James joins ERT with a strong marketing, business development, and direct sales background.  He is also an expert in raising capital for joint venture and investment projects.  Outside of work, James is a motivational speaker, attends church, enjoys working out, and playing sports.  He currently resides in Long Beach, California.

Jena Wilson, Director of Business Development

Ms. Wilson is known internally as a Jane of all trades, bringing over a decade of experience in marketing, sales, event management, and hospitality to accountants. She has been a team member of both HaydenRock Solutions and Elite Mastermind since their inception and has been instrumental in developing meaningful relationships with Accountants and Advisors alike. 


Lindsay Czajka, Virtual Marketing Manager

Before joining Elite Ms. Czajka worked for a fortune 500 company.  Lindsay brings with her about a decade of experience with both in person and digital marketing as well as branding and sales.  As the Virtual Marketing Manager, Lindsay helps our community make marketing simple with a hands-on approach sharing her expertise, creating custom images & logos, and utilizing great tools such as the Elite Marketing Platform.


Bob Coleman, Virtual Family Office Concierge

With over 16 years of Financial Services experience, Mr. Coleman brings a wealth of capabilities and skills to his role with Elite Resource Team. From working as the director of Investor Relations for a pre-formation community bank to a real estate agent to being a part of Utah’s largest fee-based Financial Planning firms, Bob has ‘been around the block’ bringing lessons learned and the heart of a servant to the Elite Team. In March of 2018 Bob joined with ERT because he saw the brilliance in the ERT model in teaching him how to work more effectively with CPAs. Bob is passionate about this model and has experienced success in its implementation. Bob loves to travel and explore new parts of the world and can be found frequently appreciating sporting events and music productions. A songbird at heart, Bob loves to sing and he can also ‘cut a rug’ having received second place in the 2015 inaugural “Dancing With Your Community Stars Event” in Southern Utah. Bob is currently one of Southern Utah’s most eligible bachelors and has 3 adult children.


Ian Welham, Proactive Planning Coordinator

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young, Mr. Welham moved out of public practice and became CFO of a Barcelona-based publicly traded company. He also held CEO and COO positions in Hong Kong, The Netherlands, Belgium and the US. His team at HaydenRock works hands-on with CPA firms to maximize their profit potential – adding value, introducing new revenue streams and helping CPAs move into high-value advisory services. Ian has been a regular guest on TV, radio and in the press, including the New York Times, the Newark Star-Ledger, The Daily Beast, and Home News Tribune. Ian is the host of The Accounting Success podcast, which is a nationally broadcast Internet radio show on iTunes. Ian and his wife Linda have been married for more than 30 years and have twin daughters. He is a devoted Manchester United “football” fan, and an avid golfer.
